Dream about my dog and I attending a university together. One night around 2am I was taking my dog out to use the bathroom one more time before we went to bed, while we were outside another person and their off leash dog came outside by us and I kept telling them to leash their dog or my dog will stand it’s ground. The person just acted oblivious, talking on the phone ignoring everything I was saying while their dog ran up to mine and just looked at me. I began to get angry, I told my dog to end up leaving it as the other dog just seemed to want to play, but I was still annoyed at the whole situation. The person of the other dog finally got off the phone, walked toward me, and began talking to me and gave me a half done apology. I explained to the other person that their dog should be on a leash if it doesn’t listen, especially in a university campus area, but the other person just didn’t seem to care at all and almost had a sense of entitlement to themselves. It was dark out and at first I thought this other individual was a male, but the closer they got to me I honestly couldn’t tell for sure. Something to me felt off about the whole interaction. They invited me inside their dorm to continue the conversation there and let the dogs interact together some more, I hesitantly agreed. As we got in their dorm room it seemed somewhat normal looking at first, the whole energy just still felt ‘off’ to me. The person began trying to talk more in depth with me about life things and we talked for a minute before I ended up saying I have to leave and go to bed, and the other person said they did as well. They walked in their bedroom and changed for bed before I left and I noticed a bunch of religious tattoos on the person and the person’s overall form had changed in front of me, from male to female almost, but their body was in an extremely distorted state. The longer I looked at them, all the religious tattoos had begun to ‘melt’ off of them and that was when I started to feel an extremely demonic presence manifest from that person and I ended up making the excuse that I really wanted to leave before I fell asleep there and ended up heading back to my dorm. I couldn’t shake off that interaction. The next day I was in the university dean’s office talking with her about some horse events coming up and as we were talking about that, the interaction with that person from last night came up in our conversation. The dean actually knew about this particular person and issues they’ve been having with them since they got on campus and she asked about my experience with them and my thoughts on the individual. I was honest with her and her assistant that was also present during this meeting and told them I felt very disturbed and on edge after the interaction with that individual, I just told them something about the person was off to me and they seemed very spiritually disturbed. The dean and her assistant thanked me for their input in the person and interaction, and right as I was about to get up and leave, the transgender person from last night that we were just talking about throws open the door with a shotgun, pumps it and shoots the dean and her assistant and kills them both right in front of me. I ducked down underneath the desk to grab my pistol and load it, and when I came back up I pointed it at the killer and tried to shoot them, but the bullets that hit them seem to do no damage and were not fatal. They realized this and tried reloading their shotgun and pointing it at me, but they couldn’t shoot at me for some reason, and in that last moment they tried shooting at me, the killer’s grandmother walked in and took the gun from them and saved me.
Dreams can be incredibly vivid and sometimes unsettling, often reflecting underlying emotions, situations, or concerns in our waking life. Let's delve into the interpretation of your dream:
Dreaming about attending a university with your dog signifies a period of learning or personal growth. Universities are places of knowledge and enlightenment, but they also represent life's challenges and tests. Bringing your dog along symbolizes loyalty, protection, and companionship as you navigate this learning phase.
The encounter with the person and their off-leash dog may indicate tensions or unresolved issues in your life. It might reflect your feelings of responsibility and concern for boundaries, implying that you are experiencing a situation where others are not respecting your space or rules.
The person talking on the phone and ignoring your concerns highlights social frustrations or feelings of being dismissed. This could symbolize interactions in your waking life where you feel your voice is overlooked or your concerns are not being taken seriously.
The transformation of the person from male to female and the distorted state could symbolize uncertainty and mistrust. The religious tattoos melting off, and the demonic presence suggest an internal struggle or fear of deceit and false appearances. This could be related to your apprehensions about someone's true intentions or your anxiety about changes that seem out of control.
Entering the other person's dorm symbolizes stepping into unfamiliar territory or situations that make you uncomfortable. The conversation about life and feeling uneasy can mirror real-life situations where you feel pressure to conform or engage with things you find unsettling.
The disturbing act at the dean's office may symbolize fears or anxieties about authority and security. It might mirror your concerns about stability being disrupted by unforeseen actions or individuals. The fact that you attempted to defend yourself but felt ineffective suggests feelings of powerlessness in certain conflicts or situations.
The grandmother taking the gun away could represent a protective or nurturing aspect of your subconscious, or possibly an external maternal figure in your life, offering resolution and safety. It signifies hope and the belief that support will come from unexpected places or that peaceful resolution is possible.
This dream seems to be a manifestation of various internal and external conflicts you are experiencing. It suggests a clash between your desire for control, boundaries, and security versus the chaos and unpredictability of others' actions. It’s a call to examine areas in your life where you might feel underappreciated or unprotected and seek ways to assert your voice and ensure your peace.
Reflect on recent interactions in your life where you might have felt uncertain, disrespected, or powerless, and consider how you can address these situations mindfully and assertively. Consider focusing on self-assurance and exploring who or what can provide support as you navigate through personal growth and the challenges that come with it.
